Except that it was clearly stated there would in fact me a free email service in this app, as well as the paid (postage included) traditional mail option. As such, this app has the potential to seriously disrupt the email business even more than the traditional business. Indeed, there will still be the need for the last minute card on the way to a party or the selection of more poetic, rather than personalized cards.

As an user of iOS devices, assuming that the Cards app meets up to Apple's previous lofty standards, it will likely be the default service for most users to turn to whether sending a ecard or a personalized card. However, for certain more formal or religious occasions when the message included is of importance, or if I have procrastinated and need a physical card, I will still buy hallmark in all likelihood.

That's a very good thing to do: people are already engaged so a good amount of them are likely to answer a few questions. That way you can learn more about the problem domain and build something people want :-)

It all depends on the keywords you are bidding on. In my niche. Things were REALLY cheap. 0.13 / click. I will post actual stats when I get more time. Didn't expect this to get HNed.

Yes. I removed any of that bias. You need to configure Adowrds to not preferentially rotate Ads. Didn't go into that much detail ;)

It's important to note that you must set your ads to "show evenly" or Google will try to show the more popular one, skewing your results badly.

For example, saying that 'Autovate' had 80% of clicks isn't very exciting if it also had 82% of impressions.

Autovate also happens to be the first in that list alphabetically. You said they ads were shuffled randomly, but are you sure that they all received the same number of views?

A critical piece of data is missing. 80% of the clicks suggests you had at least 5 clicks. How many actual clicks? How many actual displays of the ads?
